Inspired by Sesame Street and rooted in serious science, Moonshot helps children (and grown-ups) understand how the brain learns to read.

The children in Indian River County know Moonshot - it’s part of the journey to 90% proficiency. Moonshot’s journey is filled with songs, skits, and simple language that helps demystify one of the most important things a child will ever learn. And it’s also a reminder: the more fun we make it, the more kids want to learn.
This Episode offers a model other communities can replicate—using creativity and character to bring complex concepts to life. Because sometimes, the best way to teach the science of reading… is with a puppet and a whole lot of heart.
